ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ken Nelson is a visual artist who divides his time between homes in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley (Newburgh), New York.
Growing up in the Hudson Valley, and having spent his teaching career there as an instructor in the visual arts, he is drawn to painting landscapes that depict the expanses of water, sky and mountains…..
His working in the medium of collage, reflect his interest in 19th century and earlier ephemera, which evolved from also being a dealer in folk art and decorative arts of that century.
He has exhibited widely in galleries in New York City, the Hudson Valley and New England.
